You Give Me Fever

By Megan Mathis

Spring Fever! No, it’s not an illness, and it doesn’t last long. Spring Fever is that sudden urge we get to take off to the mountains or the park, and enjoy the fresh air and sunshine. At the same time, we might also get the sudden urge to clean out the junk drawer in the kitchen and maybe even the garage or a bursting file cabinet. It’s all about organizing and starting fresh. Spring Fever means the temperature rises and the colors change throughout the neighborhoods. The time changes, even the changing colors of our wardrobes seem to lighten everyone’s mood! Spring Fever is when I take off my shoes and feel the thrill of nature when I walk on real grass, or take a long walk with the dogs, enjoying some fresh air.

Spring Fever: it comes and goes so very quickly here in the desert, but it’s like our yearly dose of medicine that makes everything seem better, brighter and more alive. When Spring Fever hits you this year, soak it up! Go for those walks, clean out the garage, freshen up your wardrobe. It doesn’t last long so be sure to make the best of it!
