LAS VEGAS – On Thursday, August 17 at 6 p.m., Clark County Wetlands Park will present an evening lecture titled “The Old Spanish Trail: A History.” Presenter Liz Warren is a historian and one of the founders of the Old Spanish Trail Association.
The Old Spanish Trail is a national historic trail, approved as a bill by Congress and signed by President George W. Bush in 2002. Explorer Antonio Armijo took multiple routes through southern Nevada in 1829-1830, followed by John C. Fremont in the 1840s. The Old Spanish Trail routes established commerce between California and the Southwest and contributed significantly to the establishment of Las Vegas and surrounding communities.
“This is a fascinating part of the history of the Las Vegas Valley,” said Commissioner Chris Giunchigliani, whose district includes the park. “We are proud to offer the quarterly Lecture Series at Clark County Wetlands Park to help create a better understanding of the rich past of our region.”
The two-hour lecture is free to attend and includes light refreshments. RSVP is not required. For questions, please contact (702) 455-7522 or wetlands@ClarkCountyNV.gov. Clark County Wetlands Park is located at 7050 Wetlands Park Lane, about one mile east of Boulder Highway off Tropicana Avenue.

The 7th Annual Statewide Run Walk Roll Against Bullying is a 5K fun run and a 1.5 mile fun walk & roll. All the funds raised go to help Nevada PEP enhance the bullying prevention program which educates schools and parents about bullying prevention statewide.
Nevada PEP is the Parent Center for the state of Nevada. Nevada PEP is leading the movement against bullying. While bullying doesn’t always leave bruises or broken bones, it can leave deep emotional scars that last a lifetime. Bullying is a serious issue that occurs throughout our schools every day and without intervention bullying can lead to serious academic, social, and emotional problems. This year the 5th Annual Run Walk Roll will be held on the beautiful campus of UNLV, we are proud to have Chet Buchanan on board as our Emcee. We are raising awareness about Bullying Prevention and bringing it to the forefront. As a community we all need to be involved in our children's education. Kids with and without disabilities are getting bullied, let’s take a stand against bullying to keep children safe. Come out and join the movement! This will be a fun filled family event with lots of activities. Remember the END of BULLYING begins with YOU!

UnGagged is the world's first SEO and digital marketing UnConvention.
UnGagged brings it's successful SEO/IM speaker-led format back to Las Vegas. On the back of our Headline Event at London Technology Week in June we're back in Vegas! No dialing it down - no cleaning it up, letting the best speakers on the SEO circuit speak about topics that other conferences won't.
After the success of Las Vegas 2014, 2015 and 2016 we're bringing the "No BS SEO" theme back to Las Vegas. Bringing together some of the most provocative, fearless and business savvy thinkers on the planet, who will finally be able to let off steam and share insights which they've been prevented from sharing at other, more restrictive or corporate conventions.
"This is the first REAL digital Unconvention. Where people can pull back the curtain and show you what they are actually doing. I'm excited to show a lot of stuff I've never been allowed to do before and say what I want to say"- Jeremy Schoemaker (AKA Shoemoney), UnGagged 2014 Las Vegas Keynote.
"I don't have to shut up this time. I have to bite my tongue at a lot of conferences, I'm already known as being someone who is outspoken but this time I'm going to let it rip" - Scott Stratten, President Un-Marketing UnGagged 2014 Las Vegas Keynote.
